English Offers Varied Activities Mary Beth Mibel whimsomely reflects on her thesis statement tor her DRP. Can this possibly be taking place in an English Classroom? Lenore is seduced by a lustful Tibor! Working diligently is what English is all about. 16 Mr. Clish surveys his students. With every new year, the Proviso West English curricu- lum seems to improve. Students are challenged to learn new skills through writing a variety ot themes and reading important literature. Freshmen learn to write themes and to give speeches. Sophomores Concen- trate on English literature and proper grammar. Re- search papers are introduced to Juniors, and Seniors absorb the ideas of British literature, West English teaches students the basics and encourages individual expression. The Proviso West English Program is out- standing in content and will certainly benefit every student.
