Gets Stronger The Junior Varsity wrestling team experienced a difficult season this year. The team finished eighth in our confer- ence. Some of the highlights of the season included win- ning the first two meets against Morton West and St. Joseph's. The team had many outstand- ing members. Team captain Doug Binder had an overall re- cord of ten wins and only two losses. Coach Yeager is look- ing forward to the return of Vince Calente, Todd Cooper, Anthony Russell and Micheal Donis, all of whom he consid- ered steady and promising wrestlers. ti? Wrestlers Pin Conference All PW. varsity wrestlers have improved enormously since last year. All the coaches had high expectations for the team, and the team put forth its best. The Varsity Wrestling team experienced its highest finish in the Regional tournament in ten years, this year. The most outstanding members of the team, who contributed to its success, were Maurice McKinney at 145 pounds, Mick Nagle at 167 pounds, and Tim Fox at 185 pounds. Maurice McKinney who was one of the two proviso wrestlers to qualify for the state sectional meet also held the honor of becoming an all conference wrestler.
