They finished with 8 wins and 4 losses. The A team players did not compete in the Conference tournament. Coach Shannon stated that the team was a disappointment due to the lack of consistency in the team's playing. Their defense was poor. However, there a few bright spots. The team did manage to take first in the Hinsdale South Holiday Tournaments thanks to a few notable players: Reg Chatmen and Homer Rouse, who are both very quick and have great scoring poten- tial, Ron Speechley is a very good outside shooter and Griffin and Lang are good on the boards. Frosh. Basketball B-Team If the freshman HB Basketball team continues in their winning ways, the future for P.W. basketball looks great! lt was a season of many victories and few disappointments. There was a tri- ple overtime victory in the game against Proviso East, and the team was a winner in the Hinsdale South Tournament. Overall, the team fin- ished 9-1, and in Conference, a 5-1 record. Pat Kennedy, Mike Broz, Dar- ren Wilson, and Mike Nicholas are a few of the hardworking and outstand- ing team members. These students not only show individual talent, but they work well as a team.

Not Pictured: Tracey Branch Belinda Stanback. www During their mid season the Varsity Girls Basketball team had attained many memorable achievements. The team's ten win and seven loss record dur- ing mid season was just one of the many aspects of the team's potential. The team, which was picked as one of the top teams in the Chi- cago area, won second place in the West Chicago Christmas Tournament. The entire team contributed to the team's many fine accomplishments including their two victories over confer- ence rival Proviso East. Some of the most outstanding players this year were senior Tracey Branch, who made the All Con- ference Team, Senior Varonica Brown, and Junior Roz Wil- Iiams. .
