STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICERS Vice-president Roger Mallon, Treasurer Sylvia Akey, Secretary Elsie Duckworth, President John Hobart. Usheretles Chairman Carol Neruda discusses her committee with council members Russ Rasche and Carla Rassmussen. Marsha Ryberg, Bob Coan, Bonnie Sass, and Karen Liska construct deco- rations for the midwinter dance while Tom Head and Tom Poteet offer constructive advice. Two Students Imported Via Student Council Members of the Student Council Executive hoard met every day to plan the projects and activities for the year. During HXOH periods homeroom representatives along with council officers and committee chairmen discussed and voted on these plans. Through the Student Coun- cilis foreign Exchange Program, Anna Hage of Sweden and lo Kleinschmidt ol' Cermany attended school with Provisoites all year. The Student Council sponsored an allfschool red-and-white day which ended with a roaring pep assembly before the llomecoming weekend. The Council supervised the crowning of the queen, the game, and the dance, Under the Vllestern Sliiesfl which climaxed the weekend festivities. All students had the opportunity to try out for the annual Student Council Variety Show 'KWe,ll Tell You a Storyf, Our nation's history highlighted the show. Profits from the Christmas Post Office supplemented the Council's con- tingency fund which was used to buy various items for school organizations. The mid-winter Valentine dance, UEnamorados,', opened Spanish gardens and romance softened hy lim Kleeman and his hand. Along with spring came the elections of class, Cirls' League, and Council officers under the direction of the Student Council Elections Committee. Throughout the year the Student Council's display case gave recognition to sports and other activities. John Hobart lends assistance to Loyalty Committee members Barbara Pulford, Mary Amann, and Judy Naybar.
