Seeking information for term papers cmd numerous other proiecls, researchers use new soulh library. New South Library Proves Mr. Charles DeYoun0 Q E1 Welcome Alol to Research Students finishing term papers, choosing books for re- ports or for leisure reading, daily fill the library and put its facilities to use. Besides aiding the students in their research, the library has increased its collection by add- ing audio visual materials, microfilm, boolcs, pamphlets, and magazines. The aims of the library service are to as- sist the expanding research needs of the student and to have a current collection of valuable materials. Ear phones also are an extra aid to Vvestis students. Tapes and recordings are not only a help to the foreign lan- guage student, but also to all of the students who are in an English class. Short stories, poems, and English liter- ature are available on the ten ear phone channels. The south library room, being used for its first full school year, provides extra shelf space for Proviso's 20,000 boolcs. This room houses the fiction, short story, and re- serve boolq collection. Every morning the library extends twenty minutes of study or research to the students be- fore homcroom. This extra time and effort put in by the library staff results in the students' greater under- standing and appreciation of Westis literary facilities.
