Utilizing the most modern equipment, VVest's commer- cial department prepares students for the business world. Typing and shorthand provide aspiring secretaries with time-saving slcills. Office practice acquaints students with proper procedures in filing and initiates them into the intricacies of a variety of office machines from mimeograph to IBM. The distributive education pro- gram, under the direction of lWr. Harvey Rothenburg, gives a selected group on-the-job training during which they spend halt of each school day as actual wage-earm ers.
