ILL TELL YGU A STORY PROMISED THE TITLE, and in D6CeH1lO9I', the Variety Show, directed by Mrs. J u d i th Tamarkin and Linda Riedl, rocketed through American history in a tuneful Whirligig of songs and dances. In March the dance show, 4'Carousel, shared the bill with Orchesis groups in their production of Calendar Cur- tain Callj' a kaliedoscope of original dances which expressed the special character of each of the twelve months. For both productions Thursday matinees and Friday and Saturday night performances found the Little Theater filled with intent and appreciative audiences.

ARRESTINGLY, CLEANLY BEAUTIFUL, the buildings of Proviso West catch the eye of even the casual visitor, but West is more than an interesting example of contemporary architecture. In the early Warmth of spring a glow falls across the mall that is not entirely a reflection of sunlight on rosy brick. The view from the Windows of buses Waiting in the circle drive on an autumn afternoon includes something beyond mere Walks and Walls and, in Winter, when crystalled Windows Wink across the icy dark, the illumi- nation is not altogether a matter of fluorescent light on snow. For the true face of Proviso West is vivid in every season with the pulsing vitality of the thousands of students who Work and study there.
