Because of the superb pitching, led by AllfConference hurler Jim Wittersheim, the majority of the games were closely fought contests with the deciding run coming in the closing innings. The Cat infield was led by Davis and Simons, who provided VV est with the best double- play combination it has ever seen. Key men at the plate were John Puglise and Bob Cihlar. This yearis team will take the field optimistically with a solid pitching staff led by Ken Erdmann and Kurt Bloser. The Cat infield will be paced by Bob Coan at third, Greg Vvilmer at short, and Frank Yaccino at second.
