Diligently practicing all year in preparation for the State lVlusic Contest held in the spring, membership in the School Choir was the primary objective of the Chorus. To attain this goal the boys analyzed and rehearsed their singing and offered concerts throughout the year to improve their poise. Besides developing the slcills ol? the chorus, these concerts gave the community a chance to watch and hear the improvements of the boys, voices. This vocal training also gave the boys an excellent opporf tunity to raise their talents for acceptance in the Mixed Chorus and the Choir. ln this way Proviso Vl7est's Choir was always assured of some of the finest voices.
