Aquatic staff members plunged into H20 Vllcelc activi- ties with the all-school swim and the lunior-Senior swim relays. During XO periods, the pool balcony provided Hdry landn for the staff to meet and plan their pro- gram. The scheduling of Panther relays and splash par- ties was also organized during these meetings. The organization proved to he more than a sporting club hy serving the school through selling concessions, teach- ing swimming to grade school children, and lifeguarding at fun nights. The effort and work of all the memhers during homecoming gained the first place float trophy for the club. Also for the swimmers were the Christ- mas party and the lune picnic and splash party which introduced Aquatic Staff memhers to a sport they enjoy. Timers set stop watches at start of race. Marinettes Splash Into Gay Watercolors Using hybrid strokes and Water ballet stunts, the Mari- nette Svvim Club splashed into the spring Water show. With the theme Watercolors the shades and moods of spring vvere characterized by synchronized movements which the girls learned during vveelqly practices. Under the direction of Mrs. Jacqueline Pracko, the members became more talented in difficult stunts. To learn these swim activities, the Marinettes sent representatives to Northwestern University for a session of vvater study. Prior to the choosing of the girls, a fall Workshop was held for future members to practice their aqua abilities.
