Christmas cheer extended further than Proviso's doors this year when Girls, League sponsored their traditional Doll Project. Each homeroom shared in contributing season spirit to the children in Cook County Hospital by purchasing at least one doll. The homerooms named and clothed each doll before sending it to some little girl. With extra money donated by the students, homeroom representatives bought books, games, stuffed animals and tops to present to the boys in the hospital. A seven-year-old Vietnamese girl claimed another big project which Cirls' League has undertaken for the second year. Phan Thi Hien has 1,300 mothers, all of them Girls' League members. The League adopted Hien last year through the Foster Parents Plan. Each month Girls' League sends the little girl S15 to help pay for her food, clothing, and education. She repays her Hmothersl' with letters. s, Gi-1-ls' beaguers Carole Opie, Sue Davies, Joann Lambke, Karin Smith, and Linda Smith, take their turns at the Christmas Tea, ontinue Doll, Vietnamese Projects OFF TO THE HOSPITAL!
