Superintendent Assumes Double Duties Superintendent Leroy J. Knoeppel seldom has a free mo- ment. for it takes time and patience to manage successfully a school as large as Proviso East and to direct the development of Proviso XV est. Establishing a two-school operation has proved a difficult task since Proviso is one of the pioneers in this field. Mr. Knoeppel is trying to develop a distinctive character for each school and still keep all the administrative policies the same. Concerned with improving learning and teaching condil tions at both Provisos, Mr. Knoeppel has an eye on the future as well as the present. He must keep a constant vigil to assure that the faculty is divided on an equitable basis and that he devotes equal time to the activities of each school. Two schools require more of his time as well as double his activities. Page ll?
