The increasing enrollment which will require an even larger staff in l95T-58 will split into two groups upon completion of Proviso West, and the faculty, too, will divide itself, many moving to new academic surroundings. Numerous new teachers will stand hefore Proviso classrooms in these approach- ing years, but each year also sees departing veterans. June of l957 finds the follow- ing teachers retiring: Miss Ruth Neal, English, Miss Emily Reid, Speech and English, and Mr. Floyd Baer, Mathematics.
