The main duties of the seven members of the Board include planning the budget, determining the school policies, and improving school property. Now they are looking forward to the completion of the iieldhouse addition. As a gesture of appreciation for faithful service, stituted the tradition of awarding gold watches to contributed twenty-live years or more of their lives the Board this year in- all teachers who have to Proviso. At a dinner at the Tam U'Shanter Country Club, Dr. E. R. Sifert, superintendent, who assists the Board on all educational matters, made the first presentation. Page l2

They also work during the summer in the main oflicie preparing for the next srhool term. BUSlNESS OFFICE The secretaries of the Business Ulliee prepare payrolls, bank organization money, purchase supplies, and handle student insur- ZIIICC. BOOKROOM Mrs. Emma johnson, manager of the bookroom, handles the textbook records and distribution, and sells workbooks to students.
