CHERRINGTON Director of Reading Clinic MISS HELEN ROBINSON Nurse SPECIAL EDUCATION CLINIC Speech and hearing tests for all freshmen and hearing tests for all juniors are administered annually under the direction of C. E. A. Moore. Mrs. Ottie Erickson, secretary, assists in testing. Once each week, Dr. Irwin G. Spiesman, eye, ear, nose and throat specialist, donates his services. The eight-week Summer Clinic has been an important factor in the decreasing number of serious cases treated by Mr. Moore. The clinic, equipped with the latest devices and instruments which are used for treatment without charge, is supported jointly by the state and the town- ship. Miss Dorothy Cherrington aids students who have reading difficulties. NURSE Miss Helen Robinson, school nurse, gives emergency treatment to students in case of illness or accidents occurring on school property. She keeps health records and assists with eye and ear examinations, tuberculin tests, and health examinations. Page 16

PITT Student Council Advisory ADMINISTRATIVE ADVISORY The Administrative Advisory Committee con- siders suggestions of the faculty and decides which plans are of suflicient value to be put into use. Members of the committee are Mr. Taggart, Miss Eddy, Mr. Foster, Miss Hayward, Miss Hildebrandt, Miss Hofert, Mr. Welsh, and Mr. Wrobke. COLLEGE The College Committee assists students in choosing colleges by providing college catalogues, answering questions, and sponsoring College Day. Members of the committee are Miss Moore, Miss Carroll, Mr. Hinds, Miss Hildebrandt, and Miss Lampton. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT The Professional Development Committee plans special faculty meetings for the considera- tion of curriculum problems and for the dis- cussion of modern trends in education. The mem- bers ol the committee are Dr. Appleton, Mr. Hagen, Mr. Hartley, Miss Hohler, Mr. -Ienks, Mr. Kassel, and Miss Sigworth. ENRICHMENT Through special assemblies the Enrichment Committee provides Proviso students with the opportunity for better understanding and greater appreciation of the arts, and social studies. The members are Mr. Vllallace Nelson, Mr. Spires, and Miss Terhune. CURRICULUM The Curriculum Committee reviews Proviso's curricular procedures and recommends additions or changes that seem desirable. Committee mem- bers include Dr. Sifert, Mr. Taggart, Miss Arends, Mr. Bos, Mrs. Boula, Mr. Dillner, Miss Gospill, Mr. Haddock, Mr. Myers, and Miss Shepard. COMMITTEE ON COMMITTEES The Committee on Committees assigns extra- curricular sponsorships to faculty members. The members are Miss Cherrington, Miss Crosby, Mrs. Gault, Miss Hawkins, Miss Hildebrandt, Mr. Kuster, Mr. Oklepek, Mr. Storby, Miss Trigg, Dr. Sifert, and Mr. Taggart. STUDENT COUNCIL ADVISORY Each member of the Student Advisory Com- mittee supervises one of fourteen standing com- mittees. The advisors include Mrs. Borchers, Miss Cathcart, Miss Crosby, Mr. Dixon, Miss Goff, Miss Hayward, Mr. Dillner, Miss johnson, Mr. R. johnson, Mr. Kelly, Mr. Warren Nelson, Miss Rehr, Miss Schmitt, Miss W.
