PITT ADVISORY COMMITTEE The Advisory Committee meets every two weeks to consider and to act upon new ideas suggested by the faculty. Each year one member is replaced. The committee members are Dr. Sifert, chairman, Mr. Tag- gart, Mr. Catlin, Miss Trigg, Mr. Bryan, Miss Hayward, Mr. Welsh, Mr. Wrobke, Miss Hofert. COLLEGE COMMITTEE The College Committee gathers material from many colleges, helps students obtain scholarships, and sponsors the annual .Tun- ior-Senior College Day. The committee members are Mr. Taggart, chairman, Miss Lampton, Miss Hildebrandt, Miss Hinds, Miss Moore, Miss Carroll. THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE The Professional Development Commit- tee plans meetings to stimulate faculty interest in new educational trends and encourages discussions of topics Dresented. Committee members are as follows: Mr. Finstad, chairman, Mrs. Iacobs, Miss M. Vloyner, Miss Sigworth, Mr. Hartley, Miss Hogan, Mr. Appleton. COMMITTEE ON COMMITTEES The Committee on Committees selects faculty sponsors for extra-curricular activ- ities. They also equalize the extra assign- ments of the teachers. The members are Dr. Sifert, Mr. Taggart, Mr. Bos, chairman, Miss Hayward, Mrs. House, Mr, Kagy, Mr. Myers, Mr. Stickler. Miss Terhune, Miss Thompson, Mr. Welsh. STUDENT COUNCIL ADVISORY COMMITTEE The Student Council Advisory Committee supervises the committees of the Student Council. It encourages student initiative, but gives aid and guidance when neces- sary. The members are Mr. Pitt, chairman' Miss Rehr, Miss W. Sims. Mrs. Borchers Miss Cathcart. Mr. Dixon, Mrs. Parchmann, Miss Seigrist. Mr. Stegman, Mr. Hinds, Miss Hayward, Miss johnson. 9 a CURRICULUM COMMITTEE All new courses of study in Proviso must come before the Curriculum Committee. It suggests improvements and informs the faculty of new and modern trends. COUNSELCRS Proviso hoys and girls are greatly privileged in having a staff of six able counselors to befriend them and to aid them in solving their personal problems. The counselors are constantly available to advise and help any student at any time. In addi- tion, freshman and sophomore programs include a one-hour counseling class every Week. H. E. Carr and Miss Virginia Hayward counsel the fresh- man boys and freshman girls respectively. The sophomore counselors are O. O. Dillner and Nliss Iluth Beck. -I. YV. Hinds is the counselor for junior and senior hoysg Nliss l,ois Nloore advises the junior and senior girls. SCHOOL NURSE Miss Helen Robinson, school nurse. gives first aid and advice to students suHering from sudden illness or injury. Her bright smile and cheery Words are undoubtedly as beneficial as the medical treatment she uses. Miss Robinson also keeps health records of all students and assists with health examinations.
