Although deeply involved in daily activities, P.H.S.'ers enjoy the scenic landscape lying just outside their classroom windows. From north, south, east, and west, the Providence campus presents a striking picture with its rolling green lawns, huge pecan trees, mansion-like convent, and quaint courtyard. For many years, and now in 1960, these symbols of beauty and joy create an atmos- phere of peace at P.H.S. The Augusta Street entrance to P.H.S. offers this panoramic view of the building front and the southwest campus. Side by side, the convent and P.H.S.'s distinctive symbol, the cross, dominate this view of the middle of the campus. Full rustling trees peacefully shade P.H.S.'s southeast entrance during the noon hours.
