Spirits aflame, Providence Democrats and Dixiecrats vied in first Week of school cam- paign for student council offices. A Democratic victory gave coveted positions to Pearl Ceasar, presidentg Connie Randall, vice-president, Beulah Randall, secretaryg and Susie Adries, treasurer, over Linda Rue. Leading the opposition was Helen Crooks, for president, Sandra Matassa, vice-presidentg Sandra Gremillion, secretaryg and Ellen Petrus and Carolyn Leatherman for treasurer. At convention of both parties, candidates made last appeals. Sandra Matassa and Helen Crooks exhibit Dixiecrat poster on which Democrats Pearl Ceasar and Connie Randall sug- gest change. I5
