First to glimpse l960 Providentia in August, Marilyn Wilbert, artistg Donna Gauthier, editorg and Carolyn Faulk, photographer, gleamed full satisfaction. Like first rays from prism, opening at Provi- dence reflected a Variety of hues. Registration, Aug. 17 and 18, brought new schoolgirls and returned the well-acquainted. Even 1960's seniors reappeared-the yearbooks had arrived-and for a few chatty moments re- lived mellow days of end of school and gradu- ation. Among arrivals were five gold-complexioned senoritas from Central and South America, come to learn 'cthe English. Opening assembly introduced classes to faculty and presented reports from Girls' Staters and Leadership Workshop'ers. Not only freshmen felt thrill of donning Provi- dence uniformg refashioned ensemble diffused among entire student body a best-foot-forward spirit for beginning new term.
