My dear Students : I am very pleased to learn that you are dedicating your 1960 Year Book to a youthful martyr of the present day, St. Maria Goretti. This young girl's life was characterized by her deep love for God, and a strong aversion to sin, even to the point of being willing to die rather than offend God. May her spirit hover over our youth and her love of God and of purity find generous imitation in a.n age characterized by love of sin ful pleasure and by loose morals. T I I + Charles P. To her from whom we seek strength +o fulfill our ideals and aspirations . the staff ' fledicates v ' the ' R Providentia
