Flint, Both the boys and girls in Junior Red Cross activity groups this year have worked hard to make useful articles for veterans' hospitals, children's hos- pitals, and other needy groups. The girls made stuff- ed animals and started to knit a large afghan, HAM OPERATORS R Manning W Ledoux, D Walker, R Puchalski This newly organized club is made up of a group of boys who are interested in becoming Ama teur Radio Operators or Hams as they are common ly called Only one member is actually a Ham but another boy has applied for his license To obtain a license, one must pass an examination which consists of sending and receiving five words per minute in Continental Morse Code He must be able to answer questions concerning the theory of the operation of transmitters and receivers A knowledge of certain algebraic equations is also essential to the building of Radio Circuits CAMERA CLUB D Martin 1.
