Their first party was held at Grieve's, followed soon thereafter by one in Medford, then a farewell party for Bennie Ash at Mr. Scheel's home, and last, but not least, a Junior-Senior party in Medford. During this last party, the Seniors had their pictures taken for the Annual. A pennant, in class colors, was purchased from class funds and hung in the library. The graduates wore caps and gowns for graduation exercises and baccalaureate services. This was something new in the history of Prospect High. The Juniors and Seniors collaborated in many activities this year. The Junior-Senior banquet and prom were held May 5 in the gym. lt was a semi-formal affair. lnvitations were issued to all the alumni and other guests included all Juniors, Seniors, and their dates. King for the evening, Dee Neville, was chosen from among the Seniors by his fellow classmates, and the queen, Virginia Ridgeway, was his date for the event. An or- chestra from Medford was hired for the dance. The Juniors and Seniors also got together on the play Everything Happens to Us and gave some fine performances. The Seniors enjoyed their sneak despite the efforts of the Juniors to overtake them. Everyone was sorry to see some of the boys leave, before graduation, for the armed forces.
