Prospect's varsity football team. recovered from a poor season last year to post a 7-l record and become conference co- champions. Coach Don Williams, assisted by Mr. George Gattas, Mr. John McDougal, and Mr. Don Barrett, led the team to win this coveted position. Highlights of the season were the convincing defeats of Wheeling and Forest View and the spec- tacular i6-l2 victory over Maine West. The Knights' only loss was to Glenbrook South, the team that shared first place with Prospect. Coach Williams felt that the Prospect success was primarily a team effort, all members of the all-senior team contributing to the squacl's success. Leading rushers were Rick Lytle and Captain Wayne Kulinski. Top linemen, Mark Pas- diora, Earle Smith, Greg Kowal, Jim LaRocco, and George Free- land battled for the touchdowns backed by Steve Johnson, Bill Phillips, Steve Hestilow, and Jim Zuckermandel. 5 1 A Falcon brought clown to earth.
