CREATIVE WRITING CLUB. FRONT ROW: Mrs. Flynn, Char- lene Bohl, Connie Peterson, Jan Peet. ROW TWO: Sandy Dabo- vich, Carol Hardin, Adrienne Kulieke, Sue Knechtel. INTERPRETING IDEAS This past year, the Creative Writing Club initiated several new trends. First, club members were no longer responsible for publication of Prospect's literary supplement, The Round Table. Instead, meetings were planned and organized to in- troduce various writing techniques and to discuss individual problems in creative writing. Students were also encouraged to offer opinions and to accept criticism of literary ac- complishments. Mrs. Flynn and Mrs. Wasam guided discussions and suggested improvements in writing styles. The philosophies of Plato and Aristotle and metaphysics were among the discussion topics of the Philosophy Club. Under the direction of Mr. Gabinski, Mr. Davis, and Mr. Fyfe, the club read plilosophical books and discussed the suggested theories. Club members were encouraged to express personal interpre- tations of the reading materials and to search for critiques by other writers. Discussions uncovered the basic ideals and logic of each philosopher and the application of the philosophy to everyday lite. PHILOSOPHY CLUB. Lynn Martin, Jim Smith, Rick Calwell, Rick Daniels, Steve Wagner, Mr. Gabinski, Mr. Hansen, Jim Brasic. 'df
