l PROSPECTS MELLOW TONES Nancy Anderson accompanied Coreen Cordova on the piano. The Mellotones took oft their white gloves and put on horns for the occa- sion. The number of girls was still thirteen, but there were quite a few other changes in the 1964-1965 Mellotones. The twelve seniors and one iunior rehearsed and performed under the new directorship of Mr. Terry Blackley. With the regular prac- tice on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the ensemble planned special interpretations of many songs. An adaptation of The Theme from Charade, highlighted the Knightimes coronation. Be- sides singing at school functions such as the variety show and the Tri-M clance, the thirteen traveled to various service clubs, schools, and religious organizations. The girls were chosen for their outstanding vocal qualities, their attitude in class, and heir ability to blend with other voices. MELLOTONES. FRONT ROW: Charlotte Quill, Nancy Anderson.
