Staff members learned by example. The l964 Presidential campaign provided the Crest with campaign ideas. RECORDED YEARS EVEN l S Sometimes it seemed as though the typing would never end. All the time, hard work, and frustrations in the making of an outstanding yearbook are repaid when excited students receive a completed record of another year of education. The principal responsibility for the production of this year's book was vested in four students: Editor-in-Chief Cheryl Busse, Copy Editor Sue Knechtel, Photo Editor Kathi Hagan, and Class Editor Gay Teborek. Under the leadership of these competent individuals, the other sixteen staff members wrote copy, heads, and cap- tions, designed artistic layouts, and alphabetized, organ- ized, and filed pictures and identifications. The chief objective of this year's staff was to create a new and somewhat unique yearbook. A time to enioy all different aspects of the 1964- l965 school year was the subtle theme on which the book was planned. Mrs. Lipman, sponsor, and Mrs. Sanderson proofread finished pages before publication, contacted photog- raphers, and offered advice and encouragement when it was most needed. Working together, the Crest staff produced a picture book of memories from the '64-'65 year. Campaign gimmicks spread to the cafeteria.
