IN MANY SITUATIONS Edna fe FO, Prospect's maintenance crew capably accepted the responsi- bility ot maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the school building and the surrounding landscaping. Supervised by Mr. Bob Potts, the custodians and their ten student aids worked in three shifts around the clock to keep Prospect clean and beautiful. Their daily responsibilities also included the safety and welfare ot students, faculty members, and administrators, Therefore, custodians were obliged to keep equipment in per- fect working condition at all times. kemo, COO KS. Appeasing the hearty appetites ot Prospect students was a challenge to twenty on the kitchen statt. Under the direction of Miss Handlin, the stalt planned, prepared, and served at- tractive, well-balanced meals tour lunch periods each day. Cooks were also responsible for operating the milk line and the always popular candy line, A clean-up crew collected dishes, trays and silverware, dusted each table in the cate- teria, and sterilized all cooking and eating utensils in ac- cordance with the state and national health laws. SERVING THE KNIGHTS Social Counselor Mr. D'Agata Special services of speech and social counseling helped to complete a well-rounded counseling program at Prospect. Miss Babcock, the speech correctionist, utilized records and tape-recorded sounds to improve and correct the pronuncia- tion ot many students. Prospect's new social counselor, Mr. D'Agata, encouraged students to discuss social and tamily problems with him. Through mutual confidence workable solu- tions to these problems were more successful. Special counsel- ing services were ottered to all students. School Nurse Mrs. Allen Health Service was again functioning this year under the di- rection of Mrs. E. Allen, RN. The service handled all first aid needs for students and faculty, checked medical records, ad- ministered visual and auditory examinations, and recorded special instructions from doctors regarding the health of cer- tain students. Health Service taught the Red Cross child care course to iunior and senior Home Economics students.
