LAST CF THE FESTIVITIES 'Y T- 9-A .....2y.. , 4 h' ' The mellow sounds of the saxophones composed memorable music for a memorable night. Saturday night, October lO, the Knightimes Dance, sponsored by Prospect's Varsity Club, provided a perfect climax to a wonderful weekend. Old and new Knights alike danced amid crepe paper decorations of navy and blue to the pleasant music of Lane Emery and his orchestra. The highlight of the royal evening was the presentation of Miss Knightimes 1964 and her court. Loyal Knights and their ladies gave full atten- tion as the lovely Knightimes Queen, Bunny Thomas, was es- corted to her throne by her date, Steve Kerr. Later, the strains of Moon River filled the gymnasium as Queen Bunny invited her court and all guests to dance to the traditional Queen's Dance. With the conclusion of the dance, Knightimes 1964 became a wonderful memory, a Homecoming weekend which the Prospects would never forget. Queen Bunny and her court danced the traditional first dance with their escorts. ingenious decorations disguised the ceiling of the gymns. Varsity club members provided the refreshments, though there was a noticeable lack of homeebaked cookies that night.

Crisp autumn weather and an air of excited expectation-these were the ingredients that combined on the morning of October lO to set the stage for Knightimes 1964. The first big event of the day was the parade which was led by the Rhythmettes and the Prospect's fine marching band. Following them came the floats, the products of a week's labor on the part of the classes and various clubs. Each float confidently predicted a Knight vic- tory in the football game. The float judged best in the class division was the iunior's Knights Grate! The best in the club division was the Ski Club's Our Skill Will Kill. Later in the day, the Knights took the field against a tough Glenbrook North team. The weather was perfect for a football game, and the stands were iammed with spectators anxious for victory. Prospect struck quickly with a touchdown early in the game. Our Knights scored a second touchdown to win I2-O. Thus, the success of Homecoming T964 was assured. A lone Knight was pursued and taken down. i tti1t51.ge'imtf it 1fi,,i'r'iwilli 3Q Qg will tfggiswii i - ,ee . SWORDPLAY! Flashing swordsmanship highlighted Captain Appleiackf' Jim Grady claimed complete innocence to his intensive grilling. Pirate Bob McAndrew challenged his captive, Coreen Cordova. Playgoers in every period of history and in every country have enioyed the antics of the involuntary hero. Ambrose Appleiohn of Captain Appleiack was just such a hero. Jim Smith played the meek and mild fellow suddenly confronted by Anna Valeska an aggressive Russian dancer and a thief, played by Coreen Cordova. Mrs. Pengard and her husband Horace, Sandy Joern and Jim Grady, wereequally unsuccessful in obtaining the hidden treasure map from the stately home of the Appleiohns. Adrienne Kulieke as Poppy Faire and Margaret Starr as Mrs. Whatcombe tried to convince Appleiohn to remain at home in Cornwall instead of searching for love in far countries. The adventure, Appleiohn's dream of his exciting ancestry, and his final discovery of romance at home produced a rollick- ing Arabian Night's tale on November i3 and I4, Mr. Pos- ton's first production in the Prospect Theater. The play's excellent cast hammed it up during the final curtain.
