The mem- bers started out the year with a successful Halloween Dance in October. During the Christmas holidays, the council organized a Hall Decorating Contest. Points toward the Winter Carnival were given to the winning class. The council also organized a new activ- ity for the annual Winter Carnival. They sponsored spirit days and held a dance on the eve of the carnival. The council also designed and sold new school jackets. 1986-1987 Members: Angela Fletcher, Sue Reissig, Kim Catter- ton, Christa Hastings, Kim Zawistoski, Frances Franklin, Ste- fani Salvail. The AV staff include ed Frances Franklin and Melissa Johnson. The library aides consisted of Lissa Lewis, Melissa Cocci, and Shelia Brookst PROCTORIAN The Proctorian staff, although small in number, had a very good year. Under the leadership of Lissa Lewis, the yearbook's editor, the staff canvassed the Rutland area in early fall and sold a record amount of ads. They worked very hard selling ads, gathering pictures, and meeting deadlines to put together a fantastic yearbook. With their adviser, Pauline Vita, the staff was able to publish a spring yearbook, something new at PHS. Proctorian members included Laura Thatcher-sports editor, Lissa Lewis-editor, Angela Fletcher-senior sec tion editor, Kim Zawistoski, Christa Hastings, Melissa Johnson, Sue Reissig, Kim Catterton and Laurie Blow. Although they were not on the staff, John Anderson and Jonathan Sargent spent much time helping the Proctorian members by taking pictures. PHANTOM PROFILES Kim Zawistoski and Christa Hastings had a successful second year writing the Phantom Profile . This newspaper article appeared each Monday in the Rut- land Herald. It informed the students, as well as the community, of school events. The articles tended to focus on the accomplishments of students, scholastic, athletic and music awards. assemblies and activities.
