I never thought the day would come, When we'd be leaving everyone. It's time for changel for something new. To take a few steps towards the future we choose. Yet, we l1 never Forget and always remember The best of times that we had together. We'll be taking a step Crossing a line, Leaving our high school years behind. And though it may only seem A Shadow of the Past, It's a shadow of a dream. A dream that lasts. MICHAEL JAQUITH . . . ..'.,-.23-.r--- .3. .' . $0.0 Yet if you should forget me for awhile And afterwards remember, do not grieve; For if the darkness and corrupticn leave A vestige of the thoughts that once I had, Better by far you should forget and smile Than that you should remember and be sad. You were a very special person in many of our lives. You always seemed to make us laugh in that dry sense of humor. Mike. you will al- ways be remembered in our hearts. They easily qualified for post season action but decided not to participate due to sevep a1 internal problems. Michele Rogers, Julie Anderson, Kim Catterton, and Kris Triller led the team in scoring, while Nancy Tilden and Julie Cowans aided goal deeper Kara Chamberlain defensively. One of their best qualities was its consistent play. specifically that of Shari Hughes, Amy LaFrance, Tammy Poljacik, and Chris Barker. The girls and their coach, Lynn John- son, are looking Forward to next year as one of their best. SOCCER The varsity Soccer team suffered through a tough season this year under coach Kirk Abrahamson. They finished with a misleading, yet disappointing record of 3-11, but had a lot more talent than their record indicated. Offensively, the team Mark Swahn, Paul Lasky, Tom Valach, and Jon Maj,l assisted goal keepers Dave Rogers and Todd Blow. They all re- mained fairly optimistic all year with steady performances by Curt Moore, Jay Chamberlain, and Shane Sanbom and witnessed great improvement by Jerry Miglorie and Shane Farrell. Coach CarteL Glen Carter returned to coach the Varsity Boys Base- ball team this yearv The team suffered from a lack of interested participants, as there wasn't enough to field a junior varsity squad. The boys made up with effort what they lacked in results. They won some tough games and lost many close ones. Seniors Jim Reissig, Mark Swahn and Dave Blow made up the pitching staff, while Chris Barton and juniors Dave Rogers and Jay Chamberlain turned in fine performances through- out the year. The boys failed to qualify for post-season play, as they were defeated in the play-downs but hope to see a larger turnout next year, so they can add to their victory column. 7?
