18 PROCTORIAN The 1981-82 Praetorian. under the leadership of editor Karen Benoit and advisor Pauline Vita. and its hard-working staff members successfully published the '82 yearbook. Business manager was Marie Smith with Kathy Cote acting as her assistant. The cover of the book was created and sketched by Debbie Johnson. Working hard during free periods and work-night meetings the staff was able to put out one of its best books ever. N 4 SUTHERLAND After several years as the Sutherland adviser Mrs. Madeline Sherman gave up her job to newcomer Arlen Bloodworth. Edi- tor Lisa Young directed the staff with sports editor Iohn Russell and feature editor Sharon Tilden. Eric Supancic was head photographer while Louis Beauchain and Mary Freehorn were busy cartoonists. BAND The music department kept the band and marching band very busy. The district music festival was hosted by Proctor High this year. Karen Patch was selected for the AIl-State stage band and Mary Freebom for the All-State orchestra. Kathi Clark went to the All-New England festivalt The band as well as the chorus was involved in the first P.H.S. Christmas Assemblyr which had a great turnout.
