The girls. under the walchful eye of their new coach Richard Alberti. had a good start into their season by winning the annual Ludlow Tournament. Penny Finch. Ellie Socinski. and Reeny Triller won most valuable player awards. The team. captained by seniors Beth Triller and Ellie Socinski. ended the season with a 743 record. They made it to the playoffs but lost to West Rutland 53-33. Reeny Triller look the high scoring honors. 24 VARSITY BOYS' BASKETBALL With only one returning senior at the beginning of the year and some major injuries the boys' team had a lot of obstacles to overcome before they could concentrate on making the playoffs. The team was captained by iunior Mike Fiske and senior Jim Morgan. Their record didn't show the obvious skill and teamwork this team had. Mike Fiske was named an MVL All-Star this year. JV BOYS' BASKETBALL The JV boys, coached by Kevin Keefe, lost more games than they won. Their wins were taken by small point margins while the losses experienced were by large margins. The vocal support was aiso echoed during those tense moments on the varsity lines.
