Winter Carnival Winler Carnival officially began on February 15, with acts from several classes competing for three places. Senior Jay Famham was MC for the show. The top prize winner was sophomore Patty Manning. h The Winter Carnival games included more indoor than outdoor activities because of the very cold weather. Ice events included hockey, relay and obstacle courses. Volley. ball. floor hockey and ping pong were played indoors. The Carnival Ball climaxed the lhree-day celebration with Ann L050, escorted by Mike Fiske. selected as the festival queen. The seventh grade was the overall winner of the Winter Carnival. fl.

Gym Show The? third annual Gym Show. under the direction of Jean Crosby, was presented to a full 1 house in the PHS gymnasium. Over eighty studenls gathered to perform routines on the floor, uneven bars. balance beam, side horse, mini tramp. rings. and par- allel bars.
