28 JUNIOR HIGH BOYS, BA SKETBA LL The 1975-76 junior high basket- ball team. coached by Mike Corey, sported an 8-6 record. The squad consisted of 20 eager players. most of whom saw action in well over half the games. The high point of the season came when they dropped a 43-40 decision to West Rutland in an aetion-packed final in the jr. high tournament. Many of the boys will be moving to the jr. varsity next year: however. there will be a strong contingent remaining behind from the 7th grade to insure great thin- in 1976-77. JUNIOR HIGH GIRLSh BASKETBALL The junior high girls' basketball team entered its second season with a team of 6 players: C. Burgess. Co-capts. N. Izzo and E. Socinski. S. Lester. S. Loso, and V. Tanner. They played a lO-game schedule with a final standing of 2-8, which does not accurately reflect the tre- mendous progress. effort. and enthusiasm evident in all the play- ers. They worked hard with the varsity cheerleading Squad in planning the pep rallies and poster contest. Unfortunately. the Ivts lost a mem- ber due to an injury, but the enthu- siasm was as strong as ever.
