The were at the top 0 the. list in almost every school event. The were 3rd in the winter carnival an took 1st place in the candy sale. They even had a very successful dance during April. Ninth Grade The freshmen had their first barn dance where everybody had a wonderful time. The 9th graders came in 4th place in the candy sale making $38. 70. In the Winter Carnival they placed 2nd. fighting a ton h battle a ainst the sap omores. our en- jo able field trips were ta an to the Rutland Court. the movie Sound- er . and two in science. They thou ht of the idea last year whic was a big success. This year they had another one with tremendous results. They almost quad- rupled last year's earnin s with a rand total of$8 . At t e Winter Carnival the sophomores u-eren't quite as prosperous. They tied for last place with the Juniors. The candy sale. worked out very well for the 10th tadets. They made 3100, miss ng 2nd place by 1015. l0 J uniors The junior class officers were Ed Garrow. Pres.: Adam Styles, V .P.; Nanc Skuba, Sec.; Hobbie Smit , Treas.: and Anne Pu twitch. Assam. Comm. In 8 Winter Carnival events the juniors tied for last place. and in the candy sale they were last. Now for the good news! The juniors all at together to put on a Eance and have a cleamup day for the town. The queen of the. Winter Carni- val. Debby Lanphere, was chosen from the junior class. Thc Proctor Varsity soccer team was undefeated in the regular playing season. They tied Otter Valley 0-0 and went on to have a 10-0-1 rc- Cord. The team defeated Stowe in the quarter finals, Ludlow in the seminfinals and Thetford in the finals. Our only loss was 1'0 Mr. Anthony 2-1 in the state. game. Over- all we had a 13-1-1 record. Under the coachin of Mr. Orvis the Junior High basket 311 team had a good season. Their record for the season was 8-3, losing to Rutland Town twice and Poulmey once.
