Qefcafion As we, the class of 1965. move from the classroom of Proctor High School into aux various colleges and occupatiom, we realize that what we are leaving is more than parents and friends: it is more than a community or a school. We are leaving an attitude. The short step from childhood and adolacence into the world of the adult requires a change in viewpoint. It demands an awakening of the social conscious- ness of men. For We are no longer boys and girls. We are men and women now, and our new titles carry with them the enonmua responsibility of active partic- ipation in the world around us. As we venture into adulthood, we realize. perhaps for the first time. the signifi- cance which our community holds in our minds and hearts. No matter how far we go we. shall always remember our hometown, for it was our village which first directed our feet toward a larger purpose in life: it was our community that first :hovred u: the way.
