For the Junior One-Act play we did Life of the Party. directed by Mr. Monmaney, and we came in third place again. In the spring. we put on a record hop entitled Palisades Park. Our junior year started out with thoughts of how busy we were going to be. Under the capable leadership of our sponsor. the late Elliot Stevens, and our officers: Constance Curtis, President; Joan Haley. Vice-Presideut; John Bruce. Treasurer: and Carla Ojala. Secretary. the year was busy and successful. Our first thoughts were turned to the work we were going to put into the Sadie Haw- kins dance. The gym was decorated with scarecrows, cornstalks. and a still. In March we did the play. In the Shadows. which was directed by Mrs. Burke. To our surprise we won the Junior One-Acts. We took the play to Otter Valley for the District One-Acts. but we lost there. Next came spring and our field trip to the Legislature in Montpelier. Finally - our biggest treat of the year was the Junior Prom. After many weeks of work with the help of Mr. Abbott and Juliana Cecchinelli, we presented our prom with the theme of Bon Voy- age. Under the shadows of our own Eiffel Tower. couples danced to the smooth music of Barry Haynes and his quartet. With the school year's end. our minds turned to our final big year as seniors! On Wednesday, September 4-, 1963, we began our final year at P. H.S. As our class officers. we elected the foilowing: Harry Lose. President: John Bruce. Vice-President; Lorraine McCullough. Secretary: and Donna. Gollstmm. Treas- urer. We also welcomed back Mr. Monmaney as our sponsor. Mr. Abbott directed our senior play. The Death and Life of Larry Benson, which we pre- sented in the Proctor Town Hall on December 14. 1963.
