Foreword Many times has this book been issued as a tribute of loyalty and fidelity to Proctor High School and to all those who have gone before us. That this volume may find its place among lts predecessors is our fondest hope. As our high school days draw to a close we have spent many hours, and much at'- fort. planning how bestmtell the story of life and accomplishment during another year at Proctor High School. While depicting many of the activities incident to our school life, we are well aware that il is difficult ta convey in this manner the real purpose of our school days. We trust that we have not lost sight of our main goal. So. with the hope that in years :0 come it will help to keep fresh the pleasures and friendships which we haw: experienced, we take pleasure in presenting the Proc- mdan for 1959. The Proctorian Staff CHERYL GALLUS and JOE MARFUGGI Co-Editors

the memories of h John Petmlenicz We called him Peppy. The little guy fairly bursting with energy. with a face at once mischievous and angelic. Yes. he was just a little guy. but what a warmth of soul, what a blithe spirit was his! Peppy had friends. friends and more friends. This could be due ID his great gift of laughter. No matte! how glum and gloomy you felt. Peppy could make you laugh. When he had succeeded in making you laugh. he'd throw back his arms, sha ke his head and enjoy a good laugh him- self. We'll always remember many other little things about him - his unruly hair that couldn't decide: on which side of the par: 10 rest; the little chuckle which preceded each prank and the little guffaw that followed it; his irresistibie friendliness; his school spirit; his love of participating in skits and plays; and most of all. his enthusiasm for sports. For these, and for an endless list of reasons, we humbly dedicate our yearbook to the memory of John Peuulenicz.
