The Principia education is based on the concept of the whole man. This includes the education of the physical. In order for a person to be truly educat- ed he must have some experience in athletics of some kind. We are definitely in favor of requiring physical education as part of the BA, but we think it would be more meaningful to the student if he can meet the requirement in an activity that he wants to do and when he wants to do it.
