The International Fair Adds Flavor Zur 1 i wmv du f n ,ww V1 gif Most of the international students who first came to Princi- pia experience a Variety of cultural shocks. We felt the need to form a group to share ideas and activities. During the Weekly meetings the International Fair was conceived. Sometimes I'm not sure Whether people are looking at me as a human being or as a representative of my country. Some people judge all the Germans by the Way I act and that made me feel uncomfortable at first. We Wanted to present an International Fair because we wanted to share our own particular culture with students Who may not understand other nations. Almost everyone I talked to really enjoyed it, especially the different foods. Each individual student decorated his room and arranged his program by himself. F ri

CDAH For years Phi Alpha Eta has been nothing more than an honorary academic society. Right now We're interested in exploring Ways it can make more of a contribution to the community. We would like it to work to help elevate the standards of excellence in academics. Every or- ganization goes through an identity crisis at some point. We're having ours now. There are two directions in which Phi Alpha Eta can move. The first is to Work to provide cultural ex- periences for the students by arranging for such things as trips to museums. The other dir- ection We could decide upon is back to a purely honorary society. Our potential is great but success depends on the willingness of the members to work to help Phi Alpha Eta make a sol id contribution to the community. L23
