Team work is inTroduced To The sTudenTs, boTh boys and girls, when They learn someThing oT soccer, baslceT-ball, and baseball. The TiTTh and sixTh grades spend The Tall and winTer monThs playing soccer and play- ground baseball ouTdoors, and volley-ball and capTain-ball in The gym wiTh Miss ArmsTrong as reTeree. The girls in The sevenTh and eighTh grades enioy TavoriTe sporTs such as hockey, baslceT-ball, baseball, swimming, and Toll:-dancing. Among The boys, The several scouT Troops con- sTiTuTe Teams Tor TooTball, volley-ball, baslceT-ball, and baseball. TournamenTs and inTer-school meeTs add To The Tun during The season. LOWER SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES Every Thursday morning, The Lower School assembly is held. ErequenTly The various classes conducT The exercises. Some- Times Mrs. Hubbell chooses The Topic. During The pasT year, several inTeresTing plays and enTerTainmenTs have been given. One Time, The MoTher School, TirsT, and second grades gave a circus. Language plays, and an original presenTaTion by The Glee Club were oTFered by members oT The older classes. The more serious assemblies have been based on general Topics. There are always appropriaTe readings and songs on a subiecT such as FaiThTulness To DuTy, and similar Topics, which are Tollowed by discussions open To all.
