WiTh The aim in view oT promoTing characTer growTh and esTablishing True sTandards. The sTaTT works wiTh The sTudenTs boTh individually and in groups. This deparTmenT is divided inTo Tour secTions, The College Women, College Men, Academic Girls, and Academic Boys. Each is carried on wiTh a deTiniTe organizaTion and combines wiTh The oThers To make a uniTied campus. The College women are divided so ThaT a group OT Fresh- man and Sophomores mix in each of The Tour houses and The Juniors are by Themselves in a TiTTh. In each house is a house- moTher who keeps in close conTacT wiTh The women, as does The Dean oT Women, Miss E. Clive Davis, Through personal conTerences. House governmeriT is carried on by an execuTive commiTTee oT members oT The house, who help To carry ouT sTudenT governmenT in The responsibiliTy oT home organizaTion, working wiTh The several heads,-social, morale, aThleTic, and scholasTic. ln each oT The Tive College Men's houses is a sTudenT- elecTed presidenT who helps carry ouT sTudenT governmenT in This deparTmenT by being responsible Tor his house. By regular conTerences The Dean OT Men, Maier Garner E. Hubbell, and his assisTanT, Mr. BerTram Clark, keep in close Touch wiTh The men. Kimball Hall is The home oT all The residenT Academic and Lower School girls. On each oT The Three Tloors is a house- moTher and an assisTanT who are helped in Their work by The TourTh Academic counsellors. From These counsellors on each Tloor a Tloor presidenT and vice-presidenT are chosen who help To organize The sTudenT governmenT on Their Tloor. All OT The girls have The opporTuniTy oT helpTul conTacT wiTh The Dean oT Academic Girls, Mrs. GarneT E. Morgan. The Academic boys, Tor almosT ThirTy years, have been organized inTo a uniTormed CadeT Corps. Their daily rouTine is adapTed somewhaT Trom The miliTary and They hold Tive brieT drill periods weekly. Four oT These are devoTed To band pracTice and one To close order drill. They live in Noble Lodge under The supervision oT The Three housemasTers who are re- sponsible To LieuT. Chauncey B. Nelson, Dean oT Boys. The Tloors are divided inTo suiTes which are in charge OT TourTh Academic suiTe-chieTs and Their Third Academic assisTanTs. Surely imporTanT To The home liTe are The Household and MainTenance CommiTTees. The Tormer supervises The house- keeping oT all The dormiTories, The operaTion OT The dining rooms, and The planning and carrying, ouT oT The menus. The laTTer supervises The care oT The campus and oT all classrooms, oTTices, and The gymnasiums, as well as The mainTenance and heaTing oT all buildings.
