SPECIAL AWARDS Wanda Robinson was chosen by the American Legion Auxiliary to attend Girls State at the MacMurray College campus at Jack sonville during June T954 This annual event helps demonstrate to the girls the mechanics of state government Ken Slane Paul Burgess and Jordan Elsasser attended Boys State at the SpringfTeld fair grounds during July i954 They took part in setting up a state government and electing officials to hold office for a week year They were chosen by the senior class and faculty These awards are based on dependability service leadership and patriotism VVanda Robinson Paul Burgess Janet Snuth Jordan Elsasser Ken Slane CLASS COLORS Blue and Silver CLASS FLOWER White carnation CLASS MOTTO A live wire never gets stepped on Page 21 Janet Smith and Ken Slane received the D.
