Class I1u tory The year of T948 was an umportant turne un our luves for ut was then that we entered Pruncevulle Communuty Hugh School as Green Freshues green because we dudnt know much about hugh school and wondered what would happen next but we were determuned to make a success of hugh school Our faculty consusted fMr W R Cordus Mrs Louuse Grundler Mr Dean Jackson Muss Shurley Ters Mr James Mursener Muss Helen Kuentzle Mr Dale Engelhorn Muss Ellen Terry Mr Mahlon Saxton Mr Lloyd Prettyman and Muss Constance Roark Louus Dauly was our uanutor For our freshman oficers we chose the followung Jum Montgomery presudent Frank Puercy vuce presudent Marulyn Peterson secretary treasurer Muss Terry was our advusor We had a wuener roast wuth the sophomore class on October 26 Later we had a St Patrucks Day party un the home ec house We returned the followung fall glad that we were not stull freshmen The class elected Muss Paulune Fulton as and Frank Puercy secretary treasurer We were glad to welcome Eve new teachers Muss Dorothy Lyles who replaced Muss Terry Muss Gertrude Gebeck who replaced Muss Ters Muss Betty Smuth who replaced Muss Roark Muss Paulune Fulton who replaced Mr Prettyman and Mr Kenneth Muller who replaced Muss Kuentzle We attended a wuener roast wuth the freshman class W were very happy to wun fTrst place un the stunt show and also un the homecomung parade After two long years we hnally were upperclassmen be cause we were now Jolly Junuors wuth tlfty three members Under the guudance of Mrs Gertrude Cole our advusor we sponsored several actuvutues and had a good prom as our goal On November I6 we presented our uunuor play Love ls Too Much Trouble whuch was a great success Our prom was held on May 5 The theme was Thunkung of You Francus Lauber and Lukue Lauber were crowned kung and queen We had two new teachers To replace Mr Saxton was Mr A G Samaras Mr Mursener was replaced by Mr Claude Shelton durung the year Our class elected Shtrley Streutmatter presudent Jum Montgomery vucepresudent and Lukue Lauber secretary treasurer Page fourteen Upon the arruval of our last year we had many thungs to look forward to Most umportant of all we were dugnufTed senuors Thus year we found that Muss Maruorue Long had replaced Muss Lyles Muss Eleanor Skau had replaced Mrs Cole and Mr John Thoman had replaced Mr Samaras M Ralph Guthrue replaced Mr Jackson durung the year We elected the followung offlcers Shurley Streutmatter presudent Don Epley vuce presudent and Lukue Lauber sec retary treasurer Our homecomung was held on October 20 We won flrst place wuth our float We sold candy and Chrustmas wreaths had bake sales and held dances to rause money for our MAROON One of our buggest accomplushments was our senuor play Our Hearts Were Young And Gay whuch was durected by Mrs Brown The D A R award was presented to Caryl Cordts who had been chosen by the students and faculty Baccalaureate was held un the gym on May 25 Senuor ss ght was May 29 and last but not least the u moment of our luves graduatuon nught on May 3l Through the years Sue Groper Francus Sheets Cecul Stark weather and Sandra Faylor uouned our class We were sorry to lose Earl Brandenburg Don McNeely LaVayne Bauley Dorus Kneer Bob Ohlman Lulluan Wulson Melvun Hohulun Ronnue Nelson Bob Ryan Louella Kruskop Sandra Faylor Jum Gould Margaret Smuth Tom Edwards Maruan Doubet Irma Begner and Cecul Starkweather We senuors are lookung unto the future with the hope that our efforts today may assure a world at peace for the youth of tomorrow CLASS HISTORY COMMITTEE BARBARA MORRIS Chaurman GENE CALLERY MICK DALLINGER BETTY KEATON VERL STOCKDELL I - 2 ' : ' - 2 Q o . . .
