His father is manager of the district branch of the S. S. White Dental Manufacturing Company, of Boston, Mass. He has two brothers d ' l an two sisters. Robert Steen O1, and john Steen '03 are his uncles. He prepared at Lawrenceville School, where he was on the Crew and a member of the Religious Society. At Princeton he majored in Biology. CLASS OF1943 NEWTQN PERKINS ALLEN ' Newt Allen was born January 3, 1922, in Memphis, Tenn. He is thc son of james Seddon Allen, University of Tennessee '08, and Sarah Elizabeth Perkins. His father is an attorney, senior partner in the Firm of Armstrong, McCadden, Allen, Braden and Goodman. He has three brothers. He prepared at Central High School fMemphisj, where he was active in Public Speaking, aH:iliated with Boy Scouts, and the High School fraternity. At Princeton he majored in the School of Public and International Affairs. Graduated with High Honors. CLASS OF1943 JAMES BURNS AMBERSON, Ill Amby Amberson was born October 12, 1920, in New York City. He is the son of James Burns Amberson, Jr., Lafayette '13 CM.D., Johns Hopkinsj, and Rebecca Steen. His father is a physiciang Professor of Medicine at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, in New York. Hue has one sister. He prepared at Evans and Riverdale Country Schools. At Evans he was on the Student Council, Tennis Team, and active in Riding and Shooting. At Riverdale he was on the Publications Boards, and active in Dramatics. At Princeton he majored in English and Germang Depart- mental Honors Graduated with Honors. He was a member of Terrace Club. During Freshman and Sophomore years he roomed alone at 5 Upper Pyneg Junior and Senior years at 144 Witherspoon. Amberson plans to study medicine and to become a physician.
