He has also lived in Philadelphia, Pa. He is the son of Norman S. Alexander and Katherine Harrison Battle. His father is in the amusement business; president Fair- mount Park Transit Company, and president Alexander, Becker and Schoeppe, engineers. He prepared at Haverford School, where he was a member of the Glee Club, Tennis Team, and Sports Manager. At Princeton he majored in Biology; honors in Junior year. He was a member of the Camera Club and Court Club. During Freshman year he roomed at 16 Vandeventer Ave.; Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years at 412 703, Hall. Alexander and Mary Breckinridge Maltby. His father is a graduate of Columbia University. He has no brothers or sisters. Among his relatives who attended Princeton are John C. TenEyck ’75, Andrew Mills, Jr., 97, Henry Breckinridge ’07, and Preston Sutphen ’21. He prepared at Kent School, where he was on the Honor Roll, Inspector, and a member of the Glee Club, Publications Board, Chess and Form Hockey Teams, and Crew. At Princeton he majored in Politics, and was on the Honor Roll during Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior years (Second Group Junior year). He was a member of the Second Freshman Soccer Team; Freshman Swimming Squad ; on the Editorial Board and columnist for the Daily Princetontan (4) 3 Clio Hall, Vice-President (4); Whig-Clio Executive Council; Anti-War Society ; St. Paul’s Society; Student Tutoring Association (2) (3) (4). JOHN STEWART ALGEO, JR. Bud Algeo was born July 20, 1912, in Wheeling, W.Va. He is the son of J. S. Algeo, Washington and Jefferson ’o6, and Edith Kraft. His father is sales manager for the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company. He has no brothers or sisters. He prepared at Mercersburg Academy and Linsly Institute, where he was active in Basketball, Dramatics, and on the School Newspapers. At Princeton he majored in Economics; Junior Honors (2). He was a member of the Triangle Club and Cannon Club. During Freshman and Sophomore years he roomed at 602 Pyne, with J. G. McClure; Junior year at 31 Patton, with jaGr. McClure; Senior year also with McClure, at 92 Patton. Algeo expects to become affiliated with the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company. He is a Presbyterian and a Republican.
