George IVashington was born to-day, and I often think how clever he was to appear after the cessation of midyear hostilities. It is different now-lots of fellows disap- pear after midyears, some to come back in a week or two, Others to return the next fall and join the ranks of the class coming after. Before I go deeper into the metaphysical aspects of my subject, however, I wish to submit to you the fol- lowing notice Which has been given me for publication: Stony Brook 'Harvest Home' Among the speakers, Prof. VV.
