Commerce and business attract the largest number of departmental graduates, and many go into graduate studies in business administration and law .... Many of the faculty members are nationally known, such as R. H. Lester, the Departmental Chairman, who is a specialist in labor relations, F. W. Notestein, who directs the Office of Population Research, and O. Morgenstern, an expert on business cycles, who initiated an econometric seminar for seniors last year .... In May, the department sponsored a conference for businessmen, government officials, and representatives from education at the Princeton Inn. This has become an annual event.
