As for a Junior Prom, the ruling against holding proms of any kind in Princeton for the duration seems to preclude any possi- bility of this traditional social highpoint for '44, 26

'- -614 Class oFl'ice1's Supplee, Douglas Lounsbury carousal with the dance lasting almost all night long, the dance was held on Saturday night only and ended at 12:30 sharp to comply with the Blue Laws. The decorations were of a very simple patriotic motif. Dancers could look, however, to the Senior Prom which was to be held in January before the accelerated students graduated. The Class of '43 will be remembered as the class that bought its beer mugs in April and did its Senior singing in August. Acceleration upset the normal schedule of traditions but it did not let-them die. Beer Suits were quite in vogue throughout the football season. The class presidency was held by john Douglas. Ed Supplee filled the vice-presidency and Bob Lounsbury was treasurer. 25
