Wfartime graduates littered the Princeton campus last spring as the Class of 1917 returned for its twenty-fifth reunion and the Class of 1942 prepared to hold commencement exercises in the face of total war. The condition of world meant uniforms for the majority of the graduating class and commencement: speeches fully reflected the impact of the war. During their four-year stay in Princeton the members of the Class of '42 distinguished themselves in the field of athletics. Last year the Tiger football team scored its third consecutive win over Yale for the first time in history. The basketball team was barely nosed out of the EIL crown by Dartmouth. The Varsity swim- mers bowed only to the mighty Elis. Both the lacrosse and tennis teams enjoyed national championships, while the baseball team walked away with the EIL title. 23
